The room had unique, stylish furnishings that gave it a distinct character. The dining area offered an inviting atmosphere, making it a pleasant spot to wind down after a day of adventures.

No air conditioning made the room stifling during slightly warm weather, and the inability to open the window more than a few inches didn't help. the lack of gluten-free breakfast options, despite prior notice, was disappointing. The shower had persistent issues, including a broken head and a dripping overhead attachment, which made for an unpleasant bathing experience. The absence of bathrobes and slippers felt like a missed detail for comfort. the room could use a refresh.

Ample parking available, which is a handy perk when you need to haul your gear around. The bar area features a good selection, perfect for unwinding after a long day, with a few decent options to choose from.

Issues with breakfast provisions for gluten-free diets were apparent, causing inconvenience on the first morning despite prior notification. The shower setup lacked effectiveness due to broken fixtures, which soaked the floor, making it an unpleasant experience. The room felt stuffy, unable to escape the heat, particularly with the window sealed shut due to odors from the kitchen. There were no bathrobes or slippers, which is something I'd expect for the rate paid. the room was overall tired with some maintenance issues clearly visible in the bathroom.

The large room featured a recently updated bathroom and comfortable furnishings, making for a pleasant stay. Breakfast was notably good quality, supported by a friendly and efficient staff. check-in at 3 PM felt inconvenient, especially when arriving after a long journey and amid a wedding breakfast, which caused us to miss out on drinks being served.

Nothing it is perfect.

stayed for 2 nights with my family in a suite, and the rooms were really nice and clean. loved the decor throughout the hotel. also liked that there was parking available. the staff was friendly and helpful, which made our stay more enjoyable.

however, the shower water wasn't hot at times, and the sofa bed wasn't made when we checked in. that was kinda annoying.

i stayed at the croft for 4 nights, and the staff were mostly very friendly. the waitresses at breakfast were polite and cheerful. i loved the comfortable standard double room and the breakfast was pretty good, although the evening meal menu felt a bit limited. the location is lovely too!

I stayed here for four nights and found it to be a fantastic base for exploring parks and local landmarks like Darlington Clock Tower and Broken Scar Picnic Area, which were both within a short walk from the hotel, allowing me to enjoy leisurely strolls and beautiful views without much hassle. the room was clean and comfortable, making it a nice place to return to after my daily adventures.
